Justin Jefferson stands alone.

The Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver has officially had a more prolific six-year start to his NFL career than any player in league history.

He achieved that mark on Thursday, in an odd Christmas Day win in which the Vikings didn't exactly shine brightly yet beat the Detroit Lions anyway.

Jefferson has more yards through the first six seasons of his NFL career than any player ever.

The record had been held by another player Minnesota fans know well: Randy Moss, who had 8,375 receiving yards through his first six seasons.

Jefferson is up to 8,379 after the Christmas win. That includes 571 catches and 42 touchdowns.

When the Vikings picked Jefferson No. 22 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, the expectation was that he'd develop into a great player.

He was a star almost immediately, and it didn't take long for people to recognize that Jefferson is one of the top WRs in football.

This season likely hasn't been his favorite. A carousel of mediocre quarterbacks has made life tougher on Jefferson than ever before, and he's also battled injuries during this campaign.

But Thursday reminded us of Jefferson's greatness, that he took the NFL by storm right away and hasn't slowed down much since.

There is still so much career to go for Jefferson, but it's already clear he's trending toward being an all-time great.
