The Minnesota Vikings are coming off an awful showing against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, dropping their home opener 22-6 after failing to score a touchdown to fall to 1-1. The Vikings will take on the 2-0 Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3, who will be starting Jake Browning in place of the injured Joe Burrow. However, the Vikings have injuries of their own, most notably at the running back position.
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell says that running back Aaron Jones is unlikely to play in Week 3.
"Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is unlikely to play this week vs. Bengals, per coach Kevin O'Connell," Kevin Seifert of ESPN reports.
Jones is coming off a terrific year for Minnesota, totaling over 1,100 yards in his first season with the Vikings. Minnesota will now lean heavily on Jordan Mason as the sole feature back in the offense.
