In the NFL, two-touchdown games are a rarity. For a defensive player? It's almost impossible. In Week 3 of the 2025 season, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers did something that had never been done before.

With the Minnesota Vikings facing Cincinnati Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning, the defense was fully ready to take advantage. Rodgers was the biggest beneficiary.

Who is Isaiah Rodgers?

Rodgers is a cornerback for the Vikings. The 2025 season is his first with the franchise after spending the past two with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rodgers, 27, was a sixth-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2020 NFL Draft.

In Week 3 against the Bengals, he first got on the board with a pick-six in the first quarter.

As the game neared halftime, Rodgers scooped up a fumble and returned it for his second touchdown of the game.

For good measure, Rodgers forced a fumble on the next possession, making himself the first player in NFL history to have a pick-6, fumble recovery touchdown and two forced fumbles in a game.

He did it all before the halftime buzzer.

Isaiah Rodgers gambling suspension

Notably, Rodgers was suspended for the 2023 NFL season after the NFL's probe into violations of the league's gambling policy.

Rodgers was found to have opened a sportsbook account under a friend's name and making approximately 100 bets, including bets on his team, the Colts.

Rodgers was waived by the Colts in response.
