The Minnesota Vikings will have to wait at least one more week for the return of left tackle Christian Darrisaw.
Ahead of the Week 1 game against the Chicago Bears on Monday, Darrisaw was on the Vikings' inactives list, which means he won't suit up for the NFC North showdown at Soldier Field.
Darrisaw is still working his way back from a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered last October. The former first-round pick was listed on the injury report this week but managed to close out the week with two full practices before getting the questionable tag.
Here's what we know about his possible return date.

Christian Darrisaw injury update
Darrisaw was working out on the field before kickoff, but clearly the Vikings want to give him another week. The fact that he was able to log two full practices this week suggests he could play in Week 2.
One thing that might have factored into the Vikings' decision is the terrible conditions at Soldier Field.
Multiple reports before kickoff revealed the field was in terrible shape. The grounds crew was trying to smooth out the seams on the field just hours before game time.
"Several members of the field crew at Soldier Field are surveying the turf right now and placing a sand/seed mix in areas that need to be filled on the playing surface," ESPN's Courtney Cronin wrote. "The field was re-sodded after a stretch of five concerts at the end of August."

The field conditions will definitely be something to monitor throughout the game, as a poor playing surface invites increased risk of injury.
