UPDATE: Wentz returned to the field and started the second half for Minnesota.

Wentz appeared to injure his left shoulder on a play where he was trying to run for a first down. The veteran was tackled short of the line-to-gain and clearly had discomfort in his left shoulder.

With the Browns driving to end the half, Wentz left the field early to be evaluated as Minnesota ruled him questionable to return.

According to the NFL Network broadcast, Wentz went inside to undergo X-rays on his left shoulder.

Who is the Vikings backup QB?

If Wentz can't continue, then Max Brosmer will take over at quarterback.

Brosmer is an undrafted free agent who spent most of his college career at New Hampshire before transferring to Minnesota.
