Pat McAfee trashes 'sad state of affairs' for Miami Dolphins after loss to Steelers image

The Miami Dolphins had everything to play for on Monday night.

Instead, it was like they hardly showed up as the Pittsburgh Steelers "dog walked" them, said former Colts punter and popular sports personality Pat McAfee.

The Steelers won 28-15 in a game they led 28-3. It officially eliminated the Dolphins from the playoffs.

On his Tuesday show, McAfee lit into the Dolphins.

This is just a sampling of McAfee, who didn't hold back:

"This could be the year where they're able to battle the elements and be a football team whenever football matters. Robert Morris University... Allowed the Miami Dolphins to come up and practice on their field in the snow and get acclimated to the weather. Was this gonna be a different night for this Dolphins team than any time they went below 40 degrees?... Nope. They got their a---- beat yet again. This is a sad state of affairs if you're a Miami Dolphins fan."

Yep, that about sums it up.

The Dolphins didn't even play with a sense of urgency in the fourth quarter, putting together a drive of longer than five minutes with lots of huddles and substituting. It did end in a touchdown, but there was no time for that. McAfee posted on X during the game wondering if the Dolphins had given up.

"Well, they go into cold-a-- Pittsburgh and get their a---- beat by a Pittsburgh Steelers team that hasn't been the best team but looks like they can maybe be a team that can go on a run," McAfee said.

The Dolphins have a lot of big questions to answer, starting at quarterback with Tua Tagovailoa and head coach with Mike McDaniel.

This season is over, with three meaningless weeks to spare.
