Miami Dolphins give definitive answer on TE Darren Waller's status for Week 4 image

When the Miami Dolphins take the field against the New York Jets on Monday night in Week 4, the team will have the services of tight end Darren Waller.

On Saturday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel revealed that Waller will indeed make his 2025 debut against the Jets.

The writing has been on the wall that Waller was close to making his debut since last week, when he logged his first limited practices of the 2025 campaign.

The veteran, who is listed on injury report with a hip issue, was limited on Thursday and Friday, also, but clearly that's enough to declare him ready to go.

Week 4 will be the first Waller steps on the field since 2023 after he retired last year, which came as a surprise at the time.

Waller posted 552 receiving yards and one touchdown in 12 games with the New York Giants before temporarily hanging up his cleats.

The 33-year-old's debut comes at a time when the Dolphins could use all the help they can get. Miami is off to an 0-3 start after losses to the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills.
