Ever since the injury to wide receiver Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle has served as the Miami Dolphins' No. 1 wide receiver.
Waddle entered Week 13 with 722 receiving yards, which is tops on the Dolphins. Waddle is also on pace for his second-best season.
However, Waddle is not having the kind of day you'd expect out of a No. 1 wide receiver early on in the Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints.
Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Jaylen Waddle playing today?
Yes, Waddle is active and healthy, and he has two targets with about 12 minutes left in the second quarter, but he and Tua Tagovailoa just haven't been able to connect yet. Tagovailoa has only completed five passes, so there hasn't been much of an opportunity for him to get going.
Hopefully things change soon, but it's not looking good for Waddle right now.
