Dolphins' season could get 'ugly' in a hurry for Mike McDaniel, Tyreek Hill, according to ESPN insiders image

The start to the Miami Dolphins' season couldn't have been much worse.

And it may not get all that better for head coach Mike McDaniel, trade candidate WR Tyreek Hill and the rest of the Dolphins.

ESPN insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano broke it all down in a new article on Wednesday. They wrote plenty that is worth noting.

For starters, the overall summary, from Graziano:

"If Week 1 was a true representation of how Miami's season will go, things could get really ugly quickly. And that could mean big changes."

Those changes are at least rumored to involve McDaniel's job and Hill's roster spot.

"Trade rumors around Tyreek Hill will be worth watching," Fowler writes. "My understanding is that Miami received calls on Hill but did not show interest in trading him. If the losing persists, perhaps those phone lines reopen. The Dolphins already exercised Hill's $15.85 million option bonus, leaving a $10 million base salary and $1.8 million in per-game bonuses. A Chiefs reunion is low-hanging fruit and could be what Kansas City needs. The Chiefs can't seem to get their receiving trio of Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown on the field at the same time, and a boost of explosiveness would help."

The Colts crushed the Dolphins in Week 1, 33-8, in a game that somehow didn't even feel that close.

Daniel Jones vastly outplayed Tua Tagovailoa. Shane Steichen vastly outcoached McDaniel. There were just no responses from Miami.

And that could mean some shakeup is coming down the chute very soon.
