The Miami Dolphins are a 1-5 team that's played better than their record indicates. But, with such a record, and the team losing a lot of talent, like Tyreek Hill, next year, the Dolphins being sellers at the trade deadline wouldn't be surprising at all.

There are some names to monitor, but across their roster, two players stand out as clear trade candidates. On the defensive side of the ball, Miami has two pass rushers who could be on the market, and according to a new report, that seems to be the case.

According to NFL insider for The Athletic, Dianna Russini, the Dolphins are receiving a ton of interest in two pass rushers, with Pro Bowl pass rusher Bradley Chubb being one of the players drawing a ton of interest ahead of the deadline.

Dolphins receiving 'tons of calls' on Bradley Chubb

"The Dolphins are getting lots of calls on pass rushers Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips," Russini reports.

Seeing both Chubb and Phillips drawing interest isn't surprising, but the note that the Dolphins are getting a lot of calls for each is a sign that a trade could be coming in the next few weeks.

The NFL Trade deadline comes the Tuesday after Week 9, giving the Dolphins a little over three weeks to work out a trade. There are plenty of teams in need of pass rusher help, giving Miami plenty of teams to drive up the price of their pass rushers.

Of the two, Chubb's market will be especially interesting. He's three years older and is also under contract for a while longer, as he's signed through the 2027 season, whereas Phillips is a free agent after 2025.

Chubb carries massive cap hits of $31.2 million in 2026 and $31.5 million in 2027. A team trading for him might be able to lower the price tag if they take on more of that contract, but Miami could prefer a stronger return even if it means taking on some of that contract.

The Dolphins would save a lot of money by trading Chubb, and with the pass rusher having four sacks through the first six games, his trade value might be at a decent spot where Miami could land a solid return for the veteran pass rusher.

Teams like the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, and Philadelphia Eagles are all teams to keep an eye out for, as they all need pass rush help, and Chubb might be the best one available at this year's trade deadline.

But, regardless of where he ends up, the trade rumors surrounding Chubb have only increased with this report from Russini. Chubb could be on the move, as he's garnering a lot of interest around the NFL ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline.
