The Miami Dolphins have submitted a new entry for the worst start to a football game.

They won the coin toss against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10 and chose to receive on Sunday in Miami.

There was no kick return, and then things went sideways.

The clock still read 15:00, and Alec Ingold committed a false start.

Now before first-and-15, the Dolphins called a timeout. A second hadn't come off the game clock yet.

The Dolphins then had two short completions.

After that, Tua Tagovailoa tossed an interception deep down the field, essentially an arm punt. Tagoaviloa is now tied for the NFL worst with 12 interceptions this season.

Could you start worse? Yeah, probably.

Shoot, in Week 1, the Eagles' Jalen Carter was ejected before playing a single defensive snap.

But with the way things are going for the Dolphins this season, Mike McDaniel's bunch felt quite on brand with this opening sequence.

A season that already has a 2-7 record doesn't appear to be getting better in Miami.
