The Miami Dolphins opened the 2025 NFL season on a rough note, falling 33-8 to the Indianapolis Colts on September 7 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones had his way against Miami’s defense in the one-sided matchup.

Jones was sharp through the air, completing 22 of 29 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown. He also did plenty of damage with his legs, rushing for 26 yards and adding two more scores.

On the other side, Tua Tagovailoa endured a tough outing, finishing 14 of 23 for 114 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

It's only Week 1, but FS1 host Colin Cowherd has seen enough of the Dolphins and is sending a message to owner Stephen Ross that it's time to hit the reset button on everyone within the organization.

"You have to clean out the building," Cowherd said on the "Colin Cowherd Podcast." "Tua has a lot of character, and I like him, but there's nothing about this team I like.

"There's a gap between the best GMs and the worst, and they are not a well-run operation. Miami fans are so funny—they get so angry when you're critical. It's like, 'Guys, you could put the pompoms down.'

Furthermore, Cowherd said the Dolphins’ current front office doesn’t excel at any aspect of roster construction, which has led to the team that they have right now.

"They don't draft well, and they overspend in free agency," Cowherd added. "The Tyreek Hill situation is another example. When Andy Reid moves on from somebody and you have [Patrick] Mahomes, it's a pretty good sign. But it comes with baggage.

"There are issues behind the scenes, and Tyreek has struggled with personal matters. Right now, other than Tua's character, there's nothing about Miami that I like."
