The Miami Dolphins, at 6-7, need all the help they can get in making a playoff spot. While things aren't over just yet, a loss would all but eliminate the Dolphins from playoff contention.
Entering a Week 15 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Dolphins need to be at full strength on offense. While T.J. Watt might not play due to a lung issue, the Steelers' defense is still a tough one.
De'Von Achane, the Dolphins' star running back, came into this week questionable thanks to a rib issue he sustained in Week 14. All week, there's been concern about his status for Monday Night. But, as Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald shared, the Dolphins' offensive coordinator announced some incredible news on Achane for Week 15.
Dolphins OC reveals great De'Von Achane injury news for Week 15
Jackson reported that Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith said that the "Dolphins expect Achane to play Monday."
Achane was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, a sign he could suit up for Week 15. If he didn't participate, there would be a lot more concern about his status for the Steelers matchup.
But, even after that encouraging step in the right direction, Achane's status for Week 15 was still unknown. That is, until Smith revealed the star running back is playing.

Achane has been the Dolphins' best player on offense, and arguably the whole team this season. He had 1,126 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 193 carries this season. As a receiver, he has 55 receptions on 73 targets for 383 yards and four touchdowns.
Not many players on the Dolphins roster can impact a game the way Achane does. He can rattle off explosives in the pass and run game, and with a matchup against a tough Steelers defense, his explosiveness will be key.
Fortunately for the Dolphins offense, Achane is set to play in Week 15 against the Steelers. At 6-7, needing a win to keep their four-game streak alive and their playoff hopes within reach, Achane is poised to play a huge role for the Dolphins this week.
