The Miami Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel, and seemingly emerged as one of the more serious suitors to land John Harbaugh.
Thanks to Steve Ross's connection to the Harbaugh family, the Dolphins were one of the stronger landing spots for Harbaugh despite the quarterback uncertainty with Tua Tagovailoa.
But, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, there are three favorites for Harbaugh at the moment, and unfortunately, the Dolphins are not one of them.
Dolphins get bad news on John Harbaugh odds
"As John Harbaugh continues to gather information about his next landing spot," Russini reports, "I'm told the Giants, Falcons, and Titans are considered the favorites to land the former Ravens head coach at this time."
With the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, and Atlanta Falcons emerging as the three favorites for Harbaugh this offseason, the Dolphins' odds don't look great.
While Russini isn't completely shutting down the Dolphins' chances by emphasizing that these are the favorites "at this time," there's a bigger part of this report worth keeping in mind.

Russini shares that these three teams are the favorites for Harbaugh. They are not the finalists, which would be a massive difference.
The Dolphins still have a chance to hire Harbaugh this offseason, though things are not looking great for Miami and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.
There are other options, like Kevin Stefanski, Klint Kubiak, and Jeff Halfey. But Harbaugh would be the best coach on the market, and the Dolphins would surely want to bring him in if they could.
Their odds don't look great at the moment, but things can change in the coming days and weeks as the Dolphins continue trying to bring Harbaugh to Miami.
