The Miami Dolphins' general manager search isn't off to a great start.
The Dolphins released their early list of candidates they plan on interviewing as the team seeks to replace fired former general manager Chris Grier.
Miami was nice enough to list the names alphabetically, except the list wasn't actually in alphabetical order.
Here's how the team listed the names and see if you can spot the mistake:
- Tariq Ahmad, San Francisco 49ers Vice President, Player Personnel
- Jon-Eric Sullivan, Green Bay Packers Vice President of Player Personnel
- RJ Gillen, San Francisco 49ers Assistant General Manager
- Alec Halaby, Philadelphia Eagles Assistant General Manager
- John McKay, Los Angeles Rams Assistant General Manager
- Josh Williams, San Francisco 49ers Director, Scouting and Football Operations
If you didn't spot it by now, Jon Eric-Sullivan should be between John McKay and Josh Williams on the list.
Whoever compiled the list placed Sullivan based on "Eric" rather than "Sullivan," which is, of course, wrong.
Not only did the Dolphins do it on their own website, they also made the mistake on the list provided to the media.

Hey, look, we've all been there and made mistakes. I certainly won't pretend I haven't.
But the vast majority of us aren't a billion-dollar organization, either.
Hopefully the Dolphins' general manager search ends better than it started.
