Where Los Angeles Rams sit in NFC playoff picture after loss vs. Falcons image

The Los Angeles Rams suffered a brutal 27-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17, as Sean McVay's squad was able to come back from a 21-point deficit to tie the game, but the Falcons orchestrated a game-winning drive and won it on a Zane Gonzalez field goal.

Los Angeles has now lost two games in a row. Just two weeks ago, the Rams were in a prime position to take home the NFC West and the No. 1 seed, but things change fast in the NFL.

Though their loss on Monday to Atlanta won't affect much in the NFC playoff picture, Los Angeles has little momentum heading into their final game and the postseason in two weeks.

The Rams are locked in a wild-card spot. There is no way they can win the NFC West or be the top seed, as the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks will meet for the division title in Week 18.

After their loss to Atlanta, Los Angeles remains the No. 6 seed. However, they could move up to the five spot with a win over the Arizona Cardinals next week and a San Francisco loss to Seattle.

If the Seahawks lose to the 49ers, Seattle will be the No. 5 seed over Los Angeles, though.
