The NFC West is the most competitive division in the NFL this season, as there are three teams squarely in the mix to win the division.
The Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers are all competing for the division, but how do the standings look after the first slate of games in Week 13?
Let's take a look at the NFC West standings after the 49ers' victory over the Cleveland Browns and the Rams' loss to the Carolina Panthers.
NFC West standings
1. Los Angeles Rams (9-3)
2. Seattle Seahawks (9-3)
3. San Francisco 49ers (9-4)
4. Arizona Cardinals (3-9)
Despite San Francisco picking up a victory over Cleveland, Seattle defeating the Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles falling to Carolina, the Rams are still in first place in the NFC West due to having fewer losses than the 49ers.
With the Seahawks tallying their ninth victory on Sunday versus the Vikings and having one fewer loss than the 49ers, Seattle is now in second place in the division.
With the Rams losing, the Seahawks staying in the win column, and the 49ers still very much in the mix, the NFC West is going to be a tightly contested battle till the very end. Though Los Angeles is still in first after Week 13, there is still a lot of football left to be played.
