The Los Angeles Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10, and it wasn't particularly close. Matthew Stafford played incredibly, leading the Rams to a dominant 42-26 victory.
After the game, Stafford joined Tom Brady on the Fox Sports broadcast to discuss the dominant win. During their interview, Brady joked with Stafford about his age and his future in the NFL
At 37 years old, Stafford is playing some of his best football in his career. Brady joked that he "can't wait" to watch Stafford continue to play in the NFL, and not just for the rest of the 2025 season or into 2026, but a while longer.
Tom Brady jokes with Matthew Stafford over future in NFL
"You're only 37," Brady said. "You've got at least another eight years to play, so I can't wait to watch all of them."

The veteran Rams quarterback entered the 2025 NFL season with significant concerns about his health. His back wasn't in great shape, and concerns over his short-term and long-term viability were very real.
But, through 10 weeks of the 2025 NFL season, not only has Stafford put those concerns to rest, but he's looked like one of the best players in the NFL, and is an MVP candidate halfway through the season.
Against the 49ers, Stafford went 24/36 for 280 yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers and only one sack taken. He's been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in 2025, and has his Rams at 7-2, tied with the Seattle Seahawks atop the NFC West.

In 2025, Stafford had 2,477 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and only two interceptions. He's shaping up to be a top MVP candidate, and a win over the Seahawks in Week 11 could make his case even stronger.
While Brady's joke is hyperbolic, it's representative of how much things have changed for the Rams quarterback this season. From major concerns over his health to looking like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Stafford has changed the narrative in a big way.
Playing another eight years might be a bit of a stretch, but based on how Stafford is playing, he doesn't look like someone who is going to slow down anytime soon.
