The Los Angeles Rams were upset by the Atlanta Falcons on 'Monday Night Football,' to conclude Week 17 of the regular season.
With the Rams losing, they are set up in one of the worst possible spots for a playoff team, likely falling to the sixth seed and being forced to play either the Philadelphia Eagles or the Chicago Bears, and due to the poor performance from the quarterback and MVP candidate, Matthew Stafford. He has more than likely lost the award to second-year QB, Drake Maye.
Rams' head coach, Sean McVay, did not hold back with his remarks after the defeat during the post-game press conference.

"This is a humbling league, and we got humbled tonight," McVay said to the media after the three-point loss to Atlanta." Later in the quote, McVay declared that the starters will play in the last game of the regular season against the Arizona Cardinals, stating the team needs to play better football.
Although the Falcons are not a bad team by any means, and the Rams only lost by three points, the way they performed could easily have been worse, especially with the turnovers that were called back.
Going into the playoffs on a cold streak is never ideal for any team, especially for a team that has Super Bowl aspirations. Still, if any team can make it to the big game with a difficult path of going on the road and winning it, it is the Rams, but for that to happen, they have to use games like Monday as a wake-up call.
