Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is off to a sensational start to the 2025 season — and now it's historic.

After recording his eighth catch of the game in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night at SoFi Stadium, Nacua set an NFL record.

With 50 catches on the season, Nacua is the first player in league history to record 50 or more catches in the first five games of a campaign.

Entering the game, Nacua posted 42 catches for 503 yards and one touchdown, with the receptions and yardage totals both being tops in the NFL.

Here's a look at Nacua's game-by-game stats over the first four weeks.

Week 1: 10 catches, 130 yards

Week 2: 8 catches, 91 yards

Week 3: 11 catches, 112 yards

Week 4: 13 catches, 170 yards

Just. Absurd.

At this point, the only thing that can stop Nacua is injury.

He exploded onto the scene in his rookie campaign with 1,486 yards, which is an NFL record. His 105 receptions that season was also a record at the time before Malik Nabers and Brock Bowers broke it in 2024.

Nacua then came back in 2024 with a 990-yard season, but he only appeared in 11 games. Had he played a full 17, he would've finished with 1,530 yards.

At this point, there can no longer be any doubt about Nacua's place as one of the elite wide receivers in the NFL.
