Puka Nacua was a fifth-round draft pick, but he's never for a moment looked like that in the NFL.
From the moment he took the field for the Los Angeles Rams, it was clear this dude was special.
This offseason, that's going to get Nacua a hefty payday. He's extension eligible, and it'll be a priority for the Rams to get it done.
On Tuesday, ESPN released its latest NFL power rankings and coupled that with predictions on extensions. It was a good combination for the Rams, who were ranked No. 1 and are listed as expecting to extend Nacua.

It's not bad news for Nacua, either, who is set to get the largest WR contact in NFL history.
"Nacua is eligible for an extension this offseason, and getting that done will be a priority for the Rams," ESPN's Sarah Barshop writes. "The 2023 fifth-round pick had nine catches for 181 yards against the Lions. It was his second straight game with at least 150 receiving yards, and he became the first Rams player to meet that mark since 2004, according to ESPN Research. It will likely be a record-setting contract for Nacua; Cincinnati's Ja'Marr Chase leads all receivers with $40.25 million per year."

Could there be contention in the negotiations? Maybe. It's a lot of money.
But Nacua doesn't really seem like the holdout type, and the Rams don't really seem like the bickering type.
Nacua has proven his immense value to the Rams week in and week out since he was drafted.
Now, he's going to get the payday to prove it.
