The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a tough NFC Championship loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Despite going up against one of the best defensive teams in the NFL, the Rams' offense was firing on all cylinders.
But a struggling defense, mainly at the cornerback spots, led to some massive games from the Seahawks wide receiver, and in turn, the playoff loss right before the Super Bowl.
Finding a new top cornerback is a must for the Rams this offseason. And Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports projects the Rams nab one of the top corners in this year's free agent pool, New Orleans Saints cornerback Alontae Taylor.
Rams predicted to add Saints' Alontae Taylor to CB room
"Taylor has his best year as a pro in 2025, and the Rams have a clear need at cornerback," Pereles writes. "Whether they address it in free agency or the draft remains TBD, but in this projection, they nab one of the top free agents available."
Taylor would be a great option for the Rams this offseason. He's 27 years old and has been a consistent player for the Saints in his four years with the team.
He has four interceptions, 52 passes defended, seven sacks, 293 tackles, and a career passer rating allowed of 91.8. While not the best in the NFL, it's a solid option for the Rams to replace their mediocre cornerback room.

Decobie Durant, Emmanuel Forbes, Darious Williams, Roger McCreary, and others just aren't a good enough room. Taylor would be an instant upgrade and give the Rams a veteran presence in the secondary they could trust next year.
The Rams adding to their cornerback room is a must this offseason, and instead of waiting until the NFL Draft and risking missing out on a top prospect, they could go out and sign someone like Taylor to give the Rams' backfield some life.
Taylor won't be cheap, but with the Rams in win-now mode in what might be one of, if not the last year of Matthew Stafford in the NFL, spending a bit of money on a player like Taylor makes a lot of sense for the Rams.
