The Los Angeles Rams closed out the year with a confidence-building win over the Arizona Cardinals. At 12-5, and the fifth seed, they get to face an 8-9 Carolina Panthers team in the Wild Card to advance to the Divisional round.

While their last matchup against the Panthers didn't go to plan, the Rams should be able to bounce back, especially thanks to a recent report on a pair of injured stars.

According to Stu Jackson of Rams.com, Matthew Stafford and the Rams defense got some good news on Davante Adams and Quentin Lake for the Wild Card round.

Rams get good news on Davante Adams, Quentin Lake

"Sean McVay says Rams expect to get Davante Adams and Quentin Lake back for Saturday's Wild Card playoff game at Carolina," Jackson reports.

This is a huge piece of news for the Rams. While there was hope that both could return at some point, the reality of the situation wasn't fully known. There was still a chance they wouldn't suit up right away.

But McVay is revealing that both Adams and Lake are expected to be back for the Wild Card round in Carolina. While the Rams could still win over Bryce Young and the Panthers without both, having them back is a big boost.

Adams this season had 60 receptions for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns. Lake had one interception, 10 passes defended, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, one sack, and 61 tackles in the 10 games he played before landing on injured reserve.

Lake was activated from IR last week, and Adams seemed to be on the right path to playing soon, but passed on the near-meaningless regular season finale.

And now, with the Wild Card round just a few days away, both Adams and Lake are likely to be back for the Rams against the Panthers. It's some good news for the Rams, as they're getting healthy at the right time.
