As the Los Angeles Rams were preparing to face NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, in Week 10, head coach Sean McVay urged his team not to look too far ahead. He reiterated a familiar philosophy.
“One day at a time," stated McVay. "It's such a long season, and there still is so much ball left to be played. This is an excellent opponent we're playing. We're familiar with them. We played them pretty recently, but it's always a great challenge."
It must have worked, as the Rams shellacked San Francisco, 42-26. Quarterback Matt Stafford threw for 280 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the victory.

In the locker room after the game, McVay was ecstatic over his team's performance, and he seemed to indicate that they are playing with momentum as the season's second half has begun. The Rams have now won four in a row. And in their last three games, L.A. Has gone 12-for-13 in the red zone, including 4-for-4 on Sunday
"Great job; great f***ing team win," the LA coach told his players. "That took everybody. So f***ing proud of you guys."
During his discussion with the media, McVay commente d on why the team has been so successful thus far. He sounded as if he and his team are eyeing a second Super Bowl win for Los Angeles. The Rams, led by McVay and Stafford, won Super Bowl LVI by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20.
"We've been able to be efficient in both phases, I think guys are winning one-on-ones, Matthew's putting the ball where he wants to."
