The Los Angeles Rams are one of the top teams in the NFC, and despite their Week 16 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the team has the tools to go on a deep Super Bowl run.
One of the reasons why the Rams have had such success this season has been thanks to their defense. Defensive coordinator Chris Shula has been calling a strong defense in 2025, and he's a potential head coaching candidate this offseason.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Tennessee Titans have a plan with Shula and a slew of other coordinators from around the NFL.
Rams' Chris Shula gets Titans head coaching job update
"Tennessee also plans to reach out to several defensive coordinators," Russini reports, "including Indianapolis Colts' Lou Anarumo, the Green Bay Packers' Jeff Hafley, the Jacksonville Jaguars Anthony Campanile, the Rams' Chris Shula, the Houston Texans' Matt Burke, and the Chargers' Jessee Minter."
The Titans have plenty of options this offseason, with the bulk coming on the defensive side of the ball. Shula is one of many defensive coordinators drawing interest for a head coaching gig in Tennessee this offseason.
Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator is also among the coaches the Titans are showing interest in, and with Cam Ward the focal point, the new head coach needs to not just win over the Titans' ownership, but their franchise quarterback.

Shula is a serious candidate for this job, and while hiring a defensive-minded coach to lead a young offense in need of leadership and better play-calling, Shula could help the Titans overall as a team.
The Sean McVay tree has been one that many teams want to grab onto, and while Shula isn't on the offensive side of the ball, he's likely learned from his time in Los Angeles and could bring some of the winning ways of the Rams to Tennessee.
Shula is 39 years old, and his defense the last two seasons has been very solid. This season, the Rams defense hasn't been as great as it was last season, but they're still in a solid spot overall.
The Rams' defensive coordinator is drawing head coaching interest from the Titans, as the Tennessee organization is planning to bring in Shula for an interview as part of their likely extensive head coaching search this offseason.
