Puka Nacua injury update: Latest news on Rams WR after chest injury against Saints image

The Los Angeles Rams secured another win against the New Orleans Saints coming off their bye week, but there was concern for one of their best players.

Wide receiver Puca Nacua had seven catches for 95 yards and a touchdown midway through the third quarter before he may have suffered an injury. Nacua has played in all but one game so far this year for the Rams, but he's dealt with various ailments along the way.

Here's the latest on the Rams star wide receiver heading into Week 10.

Puka Nacua injury update

Nacua was injured on a play in which he was tackled hard to the ground while carrying the ball, as he was shaken up while jogging off the field. The wide receiver went down on the ground once he got to the sidelines and was favoring his chest area.

Nacua went back to the locker room, and the Rams declared him questionable to return with a chest injury. Given how up the Rams were in the game, the wide receiver wasn't needed to return. L.A. Went on to claim a 34-10 win.

Following the Los Angeles win, head coach Sean McVay said that Nacua clarified that it is a rib injury, and that the wideout could have returned to the game if needed.

Will Puka Nacua play in Week 10 vs. 49ers?

On Wednesday, McVay followed-up on Nacua, saying the star receiver should be good to go for Week 10 against the 49ers despite the rib injury he dealt with in Week 9. Nacua's MRI scans also "looked good," McVay said, per Underdog.

Nacua is in-line to return to action in Week 10 despite the concern last week.
