Matthew Stafford teeth, explained: NFL fans notice Rams QB's bright smile before and after 'veneers' image

Rams QB Matthew Stafford has a few distinctions as he continues his pursuit of another Super Bowl ring. He's easily the oldest quarterback remaining in the playoffs and... He has the best teeth, arguably.

Fans have taken notice of Stafford's bright, white teeth, over the last couple of years.

L.A. Fans are hoping Stafford's arm shines brighter than his teeth, but the former No. 1 pick's helmet might not even be able to obscure his pearly whites.

Here's what you need to know about how Stafford's teeth became so white and what they used to look like.

Why are Matthew Stafford's teeth so white?

Fans first noticed Stafford's apparent new teeth when he was interviewed at the 2023 U.S. Open, and they were hard to miss.

Faces are typically hard to see during NFL games due to helmets and facemasks, but Stafford's teeth shine so bright that fans can often see them in-game.

To this point, Stafford hasn't publicly commented about his teeth. Whether they are veneers or just the result of the best tooth-whitening technology available, something certainly seems to be different for Stafford compared to his Super Bowl run three years ago.

Stafford is one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the NFL, so it didn't take fans long to notice something looked a bit different. As long as he's winning games, though, Rams fans won't care what he looks like. L.A. Rallied from a 1-4 start to an NFC West title, and it's now headed to the divisional round for a road matchup with the Eagles.

The Rams will be underdogs in a tough environment, but a 16-year veteran is the right man to have under center in that situation — whether his teeth can be seen from the press box or not.
