Matthew Stafford gives Rams defense a warning about Caleb Williams image

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams can become one step closer in their journey to make their second Super Bowl appearance in the last four seasons if they can defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Without a doubt, that is easier said than done, as everyone has taken notice of the Bears' leap, along with young star quarterback Caleb Williams, who has had this season under first-time head coach Ben Johnson.

After a shaky first half in the wild-card round against the Green Bay Packers, Williams led Chicago to an 18-point comeback, including a 25-point fourth quarter, while finishing the game with 361 passing yards, two touchdowns, and making up for those two interceptions.

Super Bowl and MVP candidate Matthew Stafford has taken note of the second-year star's performances and talents, and indirectly warned his defense about the challenge of containing him come game time.

Stafford says Williams will be a big task for the Rams' defense

During his "Let's Go!" Podcast, Stafford, along with Jim Carey and Maxx Crosby, the veteran, discussed how well Williams plays outside the pocket among the best in the league, which may cause problems for Los Angeles' defense.

"It'll be a big test for our defense, a big test for our team, really just going there and trying to come away with a victory," Stafford admitted.

That wasn't just Stafford saying it to respect his opponent; he also praised Williams, calling what he has been doing this season special, while noting Williams' multiple last-game heroics.

For a Los Angeles team that had trouble getting stops on the Carolina Panthers' quarterback, Bryce Young, last week, Stafford could be onto something about admitting Williams will be a tough challenge to overcome, based on how good and consistent the young gunslinger has been this season.
