Is Colby Parkinson playing tonight? Why Rams TE is off to slow start in Week 16 image

The Los Angeles Rams have found themselves a touchdown machine in tight end Colby Parkinson.

Parkinson has tallied a whopping six touchdowns over the last two games, including a pair in the Week 15 win over the Detroit Lions.

While it was expected Parkinson would be more involved in Week 16 with Davante Adams out due to injury, the Rams tight end has been quiet thus far.

Here's a closer look at what's going on.

Is Colby Parkinson playing tonight?

UPDATE: A Colby Parkinson sighting! The Rams tight end's first catch of the game comes in the third quarter and it went for 16 yards.

UPDATE: Stafford has been slinging it all over the field, but nothing has gone Parkinson's way.

We'd like to say that will change in the final two quarters, but it's not looking good right now.

END OF UPDATE

UPDATE: Stafford connected with one of his tight ends for a touchdown on the Rams' fourth drive, but it wasn't Parkinson.

It looks like it might just be one of those nights for the Rams tight end.

END OF UPDATE

UPDATE: Three drives in and Parkinson has not seen a target yet, which is surprising, especially when you consider the Rams' other tight ends have both gotten involved.

Yes, Parkinson is active and healthy, he just hasn't gotten any looks in the passing game yet.

The Rams need Parkinson to contribute with Adams sidelined, so it shouldn't be long before quarterback Matthew Stafford finds him in the passing game.
