The Los Angeles Chargers were short-handed at wide receiver in Week 15 after Quentin Johnston was ruled out due to injury.
Johnston popped up on the injury report late in the week with a groin issue and was questionable to play before landing on the inactives list.
Looking ahead to Week 16, when the Chargers will take on the Dallas Cowboys, here's what we know about Johnston's chances of returning to the lineup.
Will Quentin Johnston play in Week 16?
Johnston's status remains up in the air after there was no update on him on Monday, but we would say he has a better chance to sit than play.
That's because he was a late addition to the injury report on Friday, although we are still holding out hope for him because the Chargers didn't immediately rule him out after he sustained his injury.
With Los Angeles playing on Sunday, the next update on Johnston will come on Wednesday, when the Chargers release their first injury report of the week.
If Johnston can log any semblance of practice participation, it will be a good sign that he has a chance to play.
If Johnston doesn't suit up, the Chargers are going to need more out of guys like Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen and Tre Harris, who had his best game as a pro on Sunday with three catches for 49 yards.
