The Los Angeles Chargers suffered a crushing defeat to the Houston Texans in Week 16, as Jim Harbaugh's squad didn't do enough in the second half to come back from a poor showing in the first half.

Saturday's loss snapped the Chargers' four-game winning streak and dropped their home record to 6-3. Los Angeles has now lost two straight games to Houston, dating back to last year's blowout loss in the wild-card round.

With the loss in Week 17 to the Texans, the Chargers dropped to 11-5, and their AFC West title hopes are dead in the water.

AFC West standings

1. Denver Broncos (13-3)

2. Los Angeles Chargers (11-5)

3. Kansas City Chiefs (6-10)

4. Las Vegas Raiders (2-13)

The Broncos are now AFC West champions and will turn their attention towards clinching the No. 1 seed in Week 18. On the other hand, Los Angeles will now have to go on the road in the postseason.

Despite missing out on the division title, the Chargers are still going to be a playoff team.

Los Angeles punched their ticket to the postseason last week, but they can no longer be the No. 1 seed. As of right now, the Chargers are the No. 6 seed in the AFC.
