It's not clear what happened.
But midway through the third quarter on Sunday night, the NBC broadcast informed viewers that Oronde Gadsden was out of the game.
There hadn't been a play they had singled out for an injury.
But Gadsden was indeed not on the field. Tyler Conklin was in instead.

Oronde Gadsden injury update
Oronde Gadsden was out of the game with an injury with about seven minutes left in the third quarter.
NBC's Mike Tirico said he was getting worked on by the trainers on the sideline.
Cameras didn't show what was happening with Gadsden. There was also no replay showing us what may have happened.
It made the whole situation a bit mysterious.
Eventually, the broadcast showed that Gadsden had hurt his left knee, and he was in the X-Ray room.
The Chargers probably feel OK about using Conklin, who played more early in the season before Gadsden pretty much took over the TE spot full time.
But Conklin isn't the athlete or dynamic run-after-catch player that Gadsden is, so L.A. Will have to figure something different out in its gameplan if Gadsden doesn't come back in.
