The Los Angeles Chargers got exciting news on Sunday evening: Omarion Hampton is active.
The rookie RB has missed a lot of time this season with injury, and he was questionable for their playoff opener against the New England Patriots on Wild Card Weekend.
Except, on the first drive, Hampton was in a big coat on the sideline.
In the game for him was Kimani Vidal.
The NBC broadcast also showed Vidal as the starter. So what gives?

Is Omarion Hampton playing tonight?
Hampton is active and available to play.
He'll likely see some time.
NBC's sideline reporter indicated that Hampton said he isn't on a snap count but will do whatever is asked of him.
The broadcast also showed him in a bulky ankle brace on his right ankle.
Vidal was solid during the season while filling in for the absent Hampton and Najee Harris, so he can do fine if needed.
Chargers fans would surely like to see Hampton get a chance, too.
