The Los Angeles Chargers entered this week with multiple question marks on offense.

One of those was quarterback Justin Herbert, who needed to have surgery on a broken bone in his non-throwing hand. Herbert suffered the injury in Week 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders and exited briefly before returning soon after.

The other question mark was running back Omarion Hampton, who has been on the shelf since he suffered an ankle injury in Week 5.

On Saturday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler provided the latest injury updates on both players and said Hampton and Herbert should play in Week 14.

"People I've talked to there believe (Herbert) is going to be good to go," Fowler said of Herbert. "They are optimistic."

"I'm told Omarion Hampton should be activated off injured reserve," Fowler added. "They feel good about where he's at."

Herbert has been trending up this week after turning in two limited practices on Thursday and Friday despite his recent injury.

It would be nice to see him be a full participant on Saturday, but an experienced vet like Herbert doesn't need a full practice to play.

As for Hampton, he took a big step forward on Friday, logging a full practice, which marks the first time he has done that since his injury.

One thing working in the favor of both players is they get an extra day this week with the Chargers playing on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. That only increases their chances of suiting up.

Los Angeles will drop its final injury report of the week on Saturday.

We would suspect both Hampton and Herbert will be questionable, at worst, but they should be able to overcome that tag if given it.
