The Los Angeles Chargers pulled off something the NFL rarely sees on Sunday.
It's not often that a team starts the season with three straight divisional opponents... It's even more rare that they win all of those games. The Chargers are 3-0 and might be the most impressive team in the NFL so far due to the fact that their three victories are all within the AFC West.
The last team in the NFL to open a season 3-0 with all of those wins coming against divisional opponents was the 2006 Chicago Bears. The Bears started 7-0 that season and reached the Super Bowl. That's a good omen for this year's Chargers, who have come storming out of the gates to start the season.
It was the first time the Chargers have started 3-0 since the 2002 season, when Drew Brees was the starting quarterback and Marty Schottenheimer was the head coach. Those were some special years for the Bolts and it looks like the team may be on the right track this season.
