Keenan Allen came back to the Los Angeles Chargers this season.
And because of that, he got the chance to set a special franchise record.
Allen is now the franchise's all-time leader in receptions.
The Chargers ran a specialty pop pass play late in the fourth quarter on Sunday night to get Allen the record.
Allen came in motion from the left, in front of Justin Herbert in the shotgun, and when Herbert caught the pass, he just flipped it forward to Allen.
Allen ran for seven yards, and that was the record.
It was the 956th catch of his NFL career.
Antonio Gates had previously held the record at 955.

Gates was in attendance, and he could be seen on the NBC broadcast chatting with Allen on the sideline after the record-setting catch.
Allen did a pregame interview on NBC, and he was so genuine. It was clear how much it meant to him to be back with the Chargers this season.
He left just for one season. Allen spent the 2024 campaign with the Chicago Bears.
But this summer, the Chargers lost Mike Williams to retirement, and they knew they needed a familiar face. So Allen came back to town.
He's Justin Herbert's favorite third-down target, even now.
And Allen now stands alone in Chargers history.
