The Las Vegas Raiders may have just thrown themselves a gigantic curveball for their future.
On Friday, the Raiders informed Maxx Crosby that he won't play this week.
Crosby wasn't happy and stormed out of the building, according to Jay Glazer.

MORE: The Giants, the Raiders, the NFL Draft order and the Disgrace of Gijon
The Raiders have a chance at the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. If they lose the last two weeks, it'll be theirs. They've already placed Brock Bowers on IR.
This is the easiest way for Vegas to control its tanking. The players on the field will play hard, but if the best players aren't on the field, that increases chances of losing.
The Raiders are playing the Giants in the bottom-of-the-barrel showdown on Sunday, and Crosby and Bowers both won't be out there.
Based on Glazer's post on X, it sounds like Crosby may take this moment into account when thinking about how he views his NFL future.
If the Raiders lose Crosby's confidence just to gain the top pick, it may not work out the way they would've wanted.
This has set up a higher level of drama to watch. Does Crosby send any kind of public messaging to reveal his feelings further?
If he does, the Raiders will have a tough situation on their hands.
