The Las Vegas Raiders added to their secondary on Sunday.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders are signing safety Terrell Edmunds. The veteran had a tryout with Las Vegas on August 5 and now joins the team five days later.

"The Raiders are signing veteran safety Terrell Edmunds," Bonsignore reported on X.

With Lonnie Johnson suffering a season-ending leg injury in practice last week, the Raiders needed to add another piece to the safety room. They opt to sign Edmunds, who has started 79 games in his career and was a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Since leaving Pittsburgh in 2022, Edmunds has bounced around the league. The 28-year-old had short stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans in 2023, and with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024.

Edmunds ended up returning to Pittsburgh in September 2024, but got cut in November.

Now in Las Vegas, Edmunds will have a chance to compete for a depth spot in the safety room behind Jeremy Chinn and Isaiah Pola-Mao. Chris Smith, Thomas Harper, Trey Taylor, and others will be his competition.
