The Las Vegas Raiders are once again in the market for a new head coach this offseason.
After firing Antonio Pierce after his first full season on the job, the Raiders decided to hire Pete Carroll last offseason, but that hiring proved to be disastrous and Carroll was cut loose after just one campaign on the job.
As we continue to wait to see who the Raiders will hire next, Albert Bainbridge IV of NorthJersey.com predicts Las Vegas will hire former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
"After missing out on the consensus top-three coaching vacancies, Stefanski -- a two-time Coach of the Year winner -- lands in Las Vegas, with the No. 1 pick in hand and tons of cap space in a highly competitive AFC West division," he said.
A two-time Coach of the Year winner, Stefanski posted a 45-56 record over his six years at the helm in Cleveland. Stefanski took the Browns to the playoffs twice in that span.
Things ended poorly for Stefanski, but not all of that was his fault.
He was stuck with the disastrous Deshaun Watson trade, and the Browns had a pair of rookie quarterbacks under center and a terrible roster overall in 2025.
If Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza does declare for the 2026 NFL draft, Las Vegas will almost certainly take him No. 1 overall, which would make hiring an offensive-minded coach like Stefanski a smart move.
Stefanski is one of the more respected offensive play-callers in the league, and he has shown he can develop a young quarterback after Shedeur Sanders showed flashes over his seven starts this past season.
Stefanski has also shown he can provide stability for and have success with a down-and-out team, which is something else that should be attractive for Las Vegas.
Seeing as how he's one of the most coveted candidates in this year's cycle, the Raiders coming away with Stefanski would be a home-run hire.
