The Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins are two of several teams with interest in former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Stefanski has interviewed with a total of six teams thus far, including Miami, Las Vegas, the New York Giants, who are expected to hire John Harbaugh, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons.
Of those six teams, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero listed the Titans, Falcons and Ravens as the most likely landing spots for the former Browns coach.
"My anticipation is Stefanski is going to have second interviews with multiple teams, coming likely next week," he said. "My sense is the Titans, Falcons and Ravens are all potential landing spots for Stefanski."
That's bad news for the Raiders and Dolphins, both of whom would be fortunate to bring in a respected offensive mind like Stefanski into the mix.
The Raiders sported the worst offense in the NFL last season and are set to turn the page at quarterback, and quite possibly by drafting Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, who has yet to officially declare for the draft.
Leaving Mendoza's development in the hands of Stefanski would be an ideal situation for Las Vegas, but sadly it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
The Raiders are an attractive destination on the surface with the team holding the No. 1 pick and a ton of cap space, but the instability the franchise has seen with head coaches in recent years might scare Stefanski off, and understandably so.
In Miami, things are a mess, which might be hurting the Dolphins' chances of landing the two-time Coach of the Year winner.
The Dolphins have a huge question mark at quarterback, and the Tua Tagovailoa saga makes for a messy financial situation that could impact the team for years.
Adding to that, this team needs a ton of work on both sides of the ball overall and one year won't be enough to fix that.
Maybe things change and Stefanski seriously considers the Raiders or Dolphins, but as of right now we wouldn't bet on him landing in either spot.
