Ashton Jeanty has joined Bo Jackson in the history books.

That's a pretty darn cool place for the Las Vegas Raiders' rookie running back to be.

Jeanty scored three touchdowns on Sunday in the Raiders' one-point loss to the Chicago Bears. In the process, he became the first Raiders rookie to score three TDs in one game since Jackson did it way back in 1987, according to ESPN.

He is also the fifth player age 21 or younger to have a three-touchdown game in the past decade, joining De'Von Achane, Ja'Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel Elliott," writes ESPN's Ryan McFadden.

Jeanty ran 21 times for 138 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He also caught two passes for 17 yards, with both receptions going for TDs.

It's a shame the Raiders couldn't win a game that was otherwise quite historic.

The Bears found a way to pull it out, 25-24, to improve to 2-4. The Raiders fell to 1-3, which is a bad place to be in a competitive AFC West Division.

But the good news for Vegas is that Jeanty finally looked like he has arrived.

It hadn't all been his fault in early weeks. The Raiders' blocking was letting him down frequently.

But Vegas certainly needed to see Jeanty have a breakout game, and that's what happened.

It's hard to join Bo Jackson in the history books, but that's where Jeanty now finds himself.
