On Thursday, Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll said that the team is still monitoring the injury status of tight end Brock Bowers and veteran linebacker Elandon Roberts ahead of Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Team reporter Levi Edwards shared Carroll's comments, noting he remains cautious about their availability. "They don’t think they can’t play," Carroll said. The coach will track both players throughout the week of practice before making a final call.
Bowers took a heavy hit to his knee late in the third quarter of the Raiders' Week 1 win over the New England Patriots, shortly after a 38-yard reception. Roberts left the game early in the first quarter after suffering a sprained elbow.
The Raiders face the Chargers at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.
