The Las Vegas Raiders have a terrible situation along the offensive line and something needs to change.

Las Vegas' group upfront is failing both in run-blocking and pass protection. Ashton Jeanty has been hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on 57% of his carries this season and only one team has allowed more sacks.

In Week 3, the biggest culprits of the offensive line woes were guard Alex Cappa and right tackle DJ Glaze, who combined for 13 pressures (out of 21 total), two QB hits, nine hurries and two sacks allowed, according to Pro Football Focus.

Glaze surrendered two sacks, four hurries and six pressures, and Cappa gave up two hits, five hurries and seven pressures. The next closest lineman in pressures allowed was left tackle Kolton Miller, who gave up three (no sacks).

Guard Dylan Parham was responsible for one of the sacks given up, but he gave up two pressures in total and was mostly solid overall.

In terms of run-blocking grade, Parham tallied the lowest upfront with a 51.5, but Glaze and Cappa weren't far behind with 55.6 and 56.1, respectively.

When Jeanty ran behind Cappa, he averaged a putrid 0.28 yards per carry on seven attempts. When running behind Parham, he tallied five yards per carry on eight attempts.

The team does have a solution for Cappa in the form of last year's second-round pick, Jackson Powers-Johnson, who did not start in Week 3.

JPJ suffered a concussion in Week 1 and was ruled out in Week 2, but he was healthy enough to be active in Week 3.

When asked about why he didn't start, head coach Pete Carroll said the team wanted to give JPJ more time given that it was a short week. Carroll admitted starting Cappa did not work out for Las Vegas, and he would be right.

It looks like Powers-Johnson will be back in the starting lineup in Week 4.

Lest we forget, the Raiders drafted two offensive linemen in 2025 in Charles Grant and Caleb Rogers, but Grant has been inactive for all three games and Rogers has been inactive for two of them.

The Raiders could sure use Grant in particular to give some competition to Glaze on the right side, but it remains to be seen when he'll be ready to play.
