The Las Vegas Raiders are adding another quarterback to the roster after trading for Kenny Pickett from the Cleveland Browns last week.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Raiders are signing Jeff Driskel to the practice squad.

"Raiders signing veteran quarterback Jeff Driskel to practice squad, per a league source. Driskel, 32, has 16 career touchdown passes and three touchdown runs as dual threat," Wilson said on X.

Driskel entered the league in 2018 with the Cincinnati Bengals, though he was initially a sixth-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers. The 32-year-old has made a living as a backup quarterback and has bounced around the league.

Over the last two seasons, Driskel has appeared in just two games, with his last start coming in 2024 with the Cleveland Browns. The Florida product is no longer a viable depth option in a competent quarterback room, but he could serve as a nice veteran presence.

With the addition of Driskel, rookie Cam Miller's future in Las Vegas is now looking a bit murky. The Raiders currently have two quarterbacks on the active roster in Geno Smith and Kenny Pickett, and two on the practice squad in Driskel and Miller.

Aidan O'Connell is on Injured Reserve with a fractured wrist and is expected to be out six to eight weeks.

Las Vegas could opt to keep four quarterbacks on the building, but the team could also look to move on from Miller with Driskel now in the picture.
