Offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson is willing to do anything for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Powers-Johnson, who is entering his second season after being selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Raiders, spoke to the media on Thursday and dropped the ultimate team-first quote.
"Just whatever the team needs me to do, I’m going to do. If they need me go out there and shake hands and kiss babies - I’ll do it, I’ll do it with a smile and I’ll love it," Powers-Johnson said via Levi Edwards of Raiders.com.
"Powers-Johnson recently came back from Australia, serving as an ambassador for the Raiders," Edwards added on X.
Powers-Johnson's versatility is his greatest strength. The 22-year-old played meaningful snaps at left guard and center during his rookie season in 2024, and even filled in at right guard when needed.
In 15 games last year, Powers-Johnson allowed just two sacks and 23 quarterback pressures in 956 snaps. The 2024 No.44 overall pick also posted a 70.4 run-blocking grade.
With the Raiders moving on from long-time starting center Andre James this offseason, Powers-Johnson is slated to be the full-time starting center in 2025. The Oregon product had a promising rookie year, and if he continues to impress, Powers-Johnson will be a long-term building block on Pete Carroll's squad.
