The most disappointing season in recent memory for the Las Vegas Raiders continued on Monday night in a 33-16 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. Geno Smith and the offense couldn't get much going, putting together just one touchdown drive and 236 total yards against a Cowboys defense that has been amongst the worst in the NFL.

In his postgame press conference, Smith showcased some frustration with the narrative around him created by analysts and "Monday morning quarterbacks."

“We got a lot of Monday morning quarterbacks who like to watch film and take screen shots, see when guys are open, so I’m sure you guys will see where guys are open,” Smith said after the loss to Dallas via Raiders Beat. "For me, again, I just got to play better. I keep saying this; if something don’t look right out there, blame it on me. If it don’t look right, blame it on me. That’s all you can do. Blame it on me. The kids mess up as school, blame it on me. Car break down on the way to work, blame it on me.”

There's clearly a lot of frustration coming from Smith. While he hasn't played his best football, he also didn't allow Dak Prescott to throw four touchdowns, nor was he covering George Pickens, who cut through the Raiders defense all evening to the tune of 144 yards.

At 2-8, changes are certainly coming for the Raiders once again. Whether that means Pete Carroll goes one-and-done as head coach, or changes to both the offensive and defensive staff, there will certainly be new faces at several spots, both on the roster and the coaching staff, in 2026.
