Former Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly has found a new home after landing a job with a college team.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Kelly has been hired as the offensive coordinator at Northwestern.

This will be the fourth offensive coordinator job Kelly holds at a college program, as he served in the same role at New Hampshire, Oregon and Ohio State, where he won a national title in 2024.

Kelly gets his new offensive coordinator gig a little over a month after he was fired by the Raiders in November.

It was just the latest failed stint Kelly had in the pros, as he also struck out as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers.

The Raiders hired Kelly during the 2025 offseason and reportedly made him the highest-paid offensive coordinator in the NFL at $6 million per season.

Las Vegas might be looking for more than just Kelly's replacement this offseason, as head coach Pete Carroll is believed to be on the hot seat after a terribly disappointing first campaign leading the Raiders.

Entering Week 18, Las Vegas is sitting with a 2-14 record and the only silver lining is that the Raiders are in line to grab the No. 1 overall pick, which could land them Indiana star quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

If Las Vegas loses in Week 18, it will secure the No. 1 overall pick. If the Raiders win, they'll need the New York Giants to win, also, or else they'll fall to No. 2. Las Vegas cannot land any lower than the No. 2 pick, though.
