Davante Adams is expected to be a productive playmaker for the Los Angeles Rams in 2025, but the veteran wide receiver is currently practicing without his starting quarterback in training camp.
With Matthew Stafford dealing with a back injury, Jimmy Garoppolo has been taking the QB1 reps at training camp. Garoppolo and Adams have a complicated relationship, as Adams was seen going off on Garoppolo's abysmal play during the 2023 season with the Las Vegas Raiders on the Netflix show "Receiver."
Though Adams recently clarified that there is no beef between him and Garoppolo, the multiple-time Pro Bowl receiver was once again reminded why he doesn't want Garoppolo throwing him footballs on a regular basis.
During the Rams' joint practice with the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, Garoppolo threw a hospital pass to Adams. Though the 32-year-old receiver didn't get hit on the play, it could've been dangerous in a real game.
"Oh man, Jimmy G just threw a hospital ball to Davante Adams," Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire said on X. Luckily, guys aren't hitting because Davante might've gotten decapitated."

After being let go by the Jets, Adams signed a two-year deal worth $46 million with the Rams. The three-time All-Pro receiver is coming off a down year for his standards, but is poised for a bounce-back season in Sean McVay's offense.
Adams came to Los Angeles to play Stafford, but it's unknown when the former No.1 overall pick will be back. For now, Adams is stuck with Garoppolo at quarterback.
