The Kansas City Chiefs have a brand new injury concern ahead of their Week 11 game against the Denver Broncos.
After dropping their Thursday injury report, it was revealed that Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy was a new addition, with the second-year wideout being listed with an ankle injury. He was a limited participant.
Given the fact that he was a new addition on Thursday and was limited, it suggests that Worthy suffered his injury at practice, although that hasn't been confirmed.
Nevertheless, it's a troubling sign for his chances of suiting up for the Chiefs on Sunday against the Broncos.
Worthy has previously dealt with an ankle injury this season. It isn't clear as of this writing if it's the same one.
It has been a disappointing season for Worthy, who hasn't quite taken the step forward the Chiefs were hoping for production-wise.
He also missed time due to a dislocated shoulder injury and he's playing through a torn labrum. Add in the fact that the Chiefs have a crowded wide receivers room and it's hard to blame Worthy's lackluster production all on him.
If Worthy sits on Sunday, the Chiefs are going to need more out of Marquise Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster to help out Rashee Rice. Worthy's injury may also lead to a Tyquan Thornton sighting.
Kansas City will put out its final injury report of the week on Friday, so we'll get our next update on Worthy then.
