The Kansas City Chiefs didn't have their starting running back, Isiah Pacheco, on the field for their Week 9 game against the Buffalo Bills.
Pacheco suffered a knee injury in Week 8 and while it looked like he would be fine initially, it turned out the running back's issue was indeed enough to sideline him for at least one game.
The Chiefs enjoyed a bye in Week 10, so Pacheco had an extra week to get right without the threat of missing a game.
But is Pacheco on track to suit up in Week 11? Here's what we know.
Will Isiah Pacheco return in Week 11?
Right now, things aren't looking good for Pacheco's Week 11 status.
According to the Chiefs' official injury report, Pacheco has been a non-participant in practice the first two days of the week. Barring a change on Friday, Pacheco is unlikely to play against the Denver Broncos this week.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Oct. 28 that Pacheco is considered week to week, so it's not entirely surprising that he's on track to miss another game.
If Pacheco sits, fellow running back Kareem Hunt will be in for a huge workload.
He posted 49 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries while also adding one catch for six yards in Week 9. The Chiefs were trailing by two scores going into the fourth quarter of that game, which limited his carries late in the contest.
We should also see some of rookie Brashard Smith sprinkled in, although it remains to be seen exactly how much work he'll get. Smith had just three touches against Buffalo after he was expected to see much more before the game.
